New magazine concept ‘Je Thuis’

‘Bouwen aan je thuis’ – build your home. Is there anyone in Flanders who’s not familiar with the catchy baseline of Zelfbouwmarkt and the jingle associated with this well-known DIY store? But when The Nutshell talks about ‘Je Thuis’, we’re not thinking of home sweet home, but rather the magazine of the Ninove-based interior decoration specialist.

LEADING LADIES

We deliberately choose two customers with very different profiles, visit them at home and let the reader ‘peek through the keyhole’. We tell their story in a relaxed, informal way in words and images and show how they decorated their home with Zelfbouwmarkt’s help. The aim is to inspire and entertain in equal measure. Because the real fun starts when the two women go shopping togetherat Zelfbouwmarkt… The results of that experience now form the core of the magazine. Zelfbouwmarkt customers are working people between 25 and 65 years old. And as many surveys on home improvement have shown, women are often the ones who make the important decisions in this area. The new magazine concept is now based around the stories of two customers – women of course.One focuses on the bathroom, and the other on the kitchen. A balanced mixture of styles really helps readers identify with the stories.
