The Nutshell is not just a name. It encompasses who we are and what we do. The nut is the kernel, the essence: the stories that define who you are. The Nutshell reveals these stories, brings them to light. But at the same time it does exactly what a nutshell does: it protects and nurtures them. And makes sure they reach the right audience. The shell has two halves: both strong, but also surprisingly complementary. Just like the crack two-woman team that makes up The Nutshell.

We prefer to look ahead. But hey, sometimes it’s good to look back too. Let’s pick out a few landmarks on our way to creating The Nutshell.
On 8 March 2022, we launched ‘Dream Dare Do’, a book we wrote in collaboration with Conny Vandendriessche.
With the coronavirus pandemic in full swing, shooting video reports ourselves on location was a big no-no, so we worked with local crews, including in Shanghai, Germany, and San Francisco. Long live online collaborations!
Our tea video from Taiwan was nominated for the prestigious CMA awards. Woo hoo! Together with our crew and client, we had an unforgettable evening in London.
After 3½ years working at each other’s kitchen table, it was time to get our own office. We found the ultimate place to welcome customers and let our creativity run wild in the idyllic Belgian village of Baaigem.
Our first mission outside of Europe: a video with a breathtaking backdrop of a tea plantation in Taiwan.
Sarah and Sabine joined forces and took the leap to set up The Nutshell together.
Social media is now an integral part of any well-designed communication plan.
Mobile devices need apps. Content for a small screen has rules of its own.
Sarah explores the world of video. It proves to be a powerful medium, as long as all the prep work is done properly: script, location, editing and posting on YouTube.
Sarah and Sabine become workmates and immediately hit it off.
Web publishing calls for a new mindset: the journalistic writing style of the ‘inverted pyramid’, with plenty of images.
Sabine puts together her first magazine – before the days of e-mail and internet.
